Warmth
“Convey the feeling of warm sun on your skin”
This was the brief for a 10 sec animation based on the prompt ‘Warmth’.
Being from Scotland, our summer sun is usually bookended with some drizzle, so i tried to express the feeling of heating up after a chilly downpour.
Glint
I collaborated with Venese Rengasemy. Between us, the work and tasks were evenly split. We blended our initial ideas together to make the story. Ven created and animated the gems, backgrounds and glow.
I made the character face animation, smash/debris shot - then both worked on final comping and FX.
Buttons and Switches
What if Frankenstein didn’t make a monster… but a motion designer?
The theme was ‘Buttons and Switches’ and everyone was encouraged to work together in a team. Our team collaborated across 4 timezones and had an absolute blast bringing this silly concept to life.

Perspective
We were put into randomly generated teams and asked to explore the theme of “Perspective”. Our team was:

Suzy, our quality control pup 🐶
It was tricky aligning our timezones and schedules but we made it work. Yeti directed the short, modelled the ship in Blender, animating in Cinema 4D and animated the first handful of shots. Abby designed assets for our dummy and i made the swooshy FX and explosion.
